We have a little blue house( dasblauhaus) on a hill in South Louisiana
at about 157 feet above sea level, we moved there before Katrina,
since we were tired of evacuating and worrying about leaving our
art below sea level every hurricane season.
It is small, but sufficent and we started to raise chickens, ducks,
and geese, and plant a little garden. The property had a few fruit
trees and berry bushes, and loads of pine trees that Katrina
pretty much wiped out one day along with our old hickory that
shaded the house. The local county agent suggested that we replant
with citrus trees. Please click on the link below to find out more
about our outdoor life on the hill.
